Since 2015 it is a requirement that researchers in South Africa must have appropriate research ethics training and the training must be done every 3 years.

BCompliant offers a one-day course (separate from the GCP Course including Health Research Ethics and Law Training) which is called Ethics in Health Research. The training includes but are not limited to, detailed discussions of the following ethics guidelines applicable to clinical trial conduct in South Africa:

• Ethics in Health Research: Principles, Processes and Structures Guideline (2024, 3^rd edition)
• Declaration of Helsinki (19 Oct 2024)

 

The course is offered via live, virtual training sessions on the Zoom platform. The training is not a webinar. The course is presented real time to small groups of delegates, to ensure interaction and active engagement with the other delegates and course facilitator. Delegates can ask questions and receive answers real time during the training.

Each delegate must have a computer with a camera and access to internet and email to attend the live, virtual training. Delegates are not required to have a Zoom account.

Onsite face to face trainings can be arranged upon request, for a minimum number of delegates.
